We’re in a sermon series called “WIRED that Way” each week talking about an aspect we are all wired for. (Wired to … Worship, Belong, Serve & Win).

Jim and I have been making some message intro videos. This is the third one (the first one was too painful to rewatch) about serving. We hooked up with a manager, a server and a customer … plus the worship and arts team was there getting our grub on while we shot. Enjoy.

Jim and I have been making some message intro videos. This is the second one (the first one was too painful to rewatch) about belonging. We hooked up with a biker group and talked about how they can use the group they belong to to reach others who may not feel they belong elsewhere. Enjoy.

Family Outing : Cards/Cubs 7-5-08

Well this was the day that our choir was singing God Bless America on the field before the Cardinals/Cubs game … we ended up running late and missed being a part of it. As soon as we were in the gate the boys had to go to the bathroom, so we made a stop. Just as we were walking in the restroom area I hear, “please welcome First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, Missouri as they sing God Bless America.” so, as Taylor and I were relieving inner pressure, we were serenaded by the choir we were supposed to be a part of.

Our seats were on the VERY TOP ROW in right field. First thought it was going to be horrible, but once we got there, the view was great, there was no one (or nothing actually) behind us, we were in the shade all day and there was a nice breeze blowing off the Mississippi River right on us – very enjoyable. Our only complaint about those seats were that from there you can’t see much of what’s happening in right or right center and you can only see about the top 1/16 of the video/scoreboard.

we had fun. boys had fun, and hey … CARDS BEAT CUBS!!! that always makes for a good day.

Taylor’s preschool choir concert

Last night (wednesday) was our preschoolers’ choir concert. I was pulling double duty of running MediaShout and videoing (like any good parent) … so, the creaks and pops you hear are from me trying to maneuver the personal grade tripod. Looking back, I should have just taken it off the tripod, i only need one hand for MediaShout anyway!
