SP: Use it wisely … or not

Busch Stadium early evening If you’ve not ever (or rarely) had to pack up your house and move, you won’t know that things seem to find a way of disappearing or not making the trip … until about six months into the new place and you just happen to run across it. Well, that’s happened to us here recently.

Taylor and Great-Grandpa When we moved from KC, I made a point to try and keep everything small and electronic together and in an obvious box. But it wasn’t until just maybe a month ago that I ran across my digital camera. It’s done a good job for me over the past 3 years, except that I lost the transfer wire almost right after opening the box, so a few weeks ago (only 3 years later) I finally got around to getting a new transfer wire.

boys on four wheeler I hooked it up to my FujiFilm FinePix 2650 digital camera and transfered over 250 photos that I had taken over the past 3 years! Actually from Christmas 2004 with my wife’s family in Arkansas all the way through our latest trip to Busch Memorial Stadium to support the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals just a few weeks ago.

dscf0067.JPG All these photos were taken with my FujiFilm FinePix 2650 digital camera. Some better than others. My biggest complaints with it would have to be battery life and red-eye correction. It sucks the life right out of any battery that I put in it, and just about everyone in the photos look like they’re going to hit you with laser beams.

dscf0268.JPG Though I really enjoy my digital camera, what I really miss is my Mini DV Camcorder. As I’ve written before, it was stolen just before Christmas last year. What I’d really like to step up to is a Sony DCR-VX2100 Digital Handycam® Camcorder … only about $3,000 … I’ll get right on that.

I just wanted to say hey & thanks for the Mad Church Disease love you have posted. It may seem little but it is hugely encouraging to me (and I hope to others soon!)
