Unsigned.com is a new resource for unsigned artists. Bands, solos, ensembles, etc have access to photo galleries, music file storage and an outlet to be heard by an ever-growing fan and listener base.
It is in beta right now (just like all other Web 2.0 type ventures), but I took the time to sign up. All sorts of categories (rock, country, pop, progressive bands, christian rock, blues and more).
Something that is kind of intriguing is that they have a “create your own compilation CD” feature.
Select music from your library and playlists to create a unique compilation and sell through Unsigned.com.
The compilations are designed to benefit the producer (you as the compilation creator) and the Artists through a revenue sharing plan. You profit through sales as the producer, the unsigned artist receives a royalty, and the production and distribution will be handled by Unsigned.com
