Praise the One, Risen Son of God

Shane & Shane
Before the Throne

Before the throne of God above | I have a strong and perfect plea | A great high Priest who’s name is Love | Who ever lives and pleads for me

My name is graven on His hand | My name is written on His heart | I know that while in heaven He stands | No tongue can bid me thence depart

When satan tempts me to despair | and tells me of the guilt within | upward I look and see Him there | Who made an end of all my sin

Because a sinless Savior died | my sinful soul is counted free | For God the just is satisfied | to look on Him and pardon me

Hallelujah | Praise the One Risen Son of God.

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb | My perfect spotless righteousness | The great unchangeable I AM | The King of Glory and of grace

One in Himself, I cannot die | My soul is purchased by His blood | My life is hid with Christ on high | With Christ my Savior and my God

A most excellent song! It moves me to tears every time I sing this song. I can only imagine Christ standing between YWHH and myself, cleansing me with His blood. To know that there is one constant thing in the universe is a comfort.

Thank you for responding to His call as a writer. Please continue to allow Him to use you!

    Honor,
    Debi

This song has been used by God to comfort my heart this morning when I woke up depressed, even though I didn’t really know it. I heard it in church on Sunday and loved it, but pretty much forgot it until this morning when I woke up with it in my heart. I was discouraged and falling into a depressed mood and the Lord helped me out of it with this song. I had to look it up to learn the words. It took my all morning to recall the title.

Thanks for being His instrument of comfort through your song! Blessings forever!

    E. Allert
