well … to me.
Jen is on a mission trip in El Salvador. Taylor and Jordan are both in Kansas City with grandparents. I’ve been by myself since Friday afternoon, and unfortunately the 78 degree weather we saw on Sunday is supposed to turn over to ice and snow Monday so that throws the idea of hitting the links out the window.
This will be a lack luster 2nd anniversary of my 29th birthday. I think I’ll head down to ‘Lil Mickey’s Memphis BBQ and grab some ribs.

Some are saying
“… the greatest fantasy epic of all time is reborn for a new generation …”
As much as I love and watch the original movie classic each year, I am geeked up to watch this. I’m excited and anxious to see how they’ve adapted the book to a more modern/future twist.
************* WARNING **************
DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU GET SQUEEMISH AT THE SLIGHTEST INJURIES
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
If you have kids, you’ve probably said, “don’t run in the house” countless times, and I’m sure you were told that at some point (over and over) in your childhood … maybe even now for some of you. Did you always listen? Do your kids always listen?
Well here’s a little story on that subject.
Sometimes our seemingly futile efforts fail, and “boo-boo’s” happen. Here is a little guy who didn’t listen, and he got his own souvenir scars to help HIS children, perhaps, to learn from his own mistakes.
Doesn’t look all that bad, does it? Maybe he should keep this next photo handy to ’splain the way it happened …
